Dr. Priyesh Patel, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon on the staff at Centegra Physician Care-McHenry County Orthopedics, will present, “Play Ball! Little League Elbow is used to describe a painful condition caused by overuse of the elbow. It happens to athletes who are still growing and causes inflammation and irritation to the growth plate on the inside of the elbow. During this lecture, Patel will discuss warning signs and risk factors for throwing-related elbow injuries and ways to prevent them, as well as surgical and non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation options.
