The art of integrating trees\, perennial plants\, and annual beds into urban landscapes\; to enhance food security\, boost biodiversity\, and improve urban microclimates. We will discuss how transforming basic lawns\, into productive green spaces can create local food resilience and boost community well-being. At the end we will show how we put all of this into practice on our suburban 1/3 of an acre site.
