Join us on Saturday, February 1st, 2020, at 930AM, at the Woodstock Public Library to learn more about what is required to become a Habitat McHenry County Partner Family! *This meeting is strongly encouraged for all Habitat McHenry County Partner Families* REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT: https://habitatmchenry.galaxydigital.com/event/detail/?event_id=63131 These sessions are for families interested in learning about working with Habitat McHenry County to build their own home. (Spanish translator available, please contact the office at 815-759-9002 to request.) Criteria for Becoming a Habitat Homeowner 1. Need for housing. Current home is overcrowded, unsafe, too expensive, etc. 2. Ability to pay. Stable work history, manageable debt load, absence of liens. 3. Willingness to partner. Prospective homeowners must INVEST a minimum of 250 hours of “sweat equity” for each applicant and co-applicant by working on Habitat McHenry County homes, at fundraisers and events, at the ReStore's or in the office. Some hours must be invested in budgeting and financial classes. 4. Live or work in McHenry County
