The two go hand-in-hand; financial projections are one component in any well-rounded business plan, and your business plan can help you secure additional funding such as a grant or loan. It can also be useful if you want to attract a partner or investor.  


Second Day: Run!

  1. Think through who it is that you’re selling your product or service to, and put together some branding basics, like a logo and tagline

  2. Get on the internet! A webpage is essential these days. Customers look for businesses online, and if you aren’t there, they will find your competition instead of you. Social media is also a must-have. Start reaching out on your favorite platform to nail your first sale!

  3. Join your local chamber of commerce! It’s loaded with educational and networking opportunities, and offers a wealth of information and support to the small business owner.


Third Day: Grow!

  1. Customers are the lifeblood of any business. Develop a customer service plan that ensures yours are faithful and only have good things to say about your business. Also think about asking for product reviews, a referral program, and gathering testimonials to include on your webpage.

  2. Consider some sharable outreach methods; social media ads, giveaways, contests and livestreaming events, like demos and product reviews, are just a few ideas you can try.

  3. Adding some analytics to your outreach helps ensure you’re reaching your target audience with your message, and it helps you adjust your product line and presentation in accordance with their response.
