Kenny’s Floor Covering is a true family owned and operated flooring retailer and has been servicing their community for over 26 years. Ken Schroeder, Owner of KFC, has been a flooring installer since 1977. Kenny was taught the trade by his Father, Ken Sr and encouraged by his Mother Shirley- both owners of North Suburban Carpet laying service. In 1995 Kenny decided it was time to venture out on his own, starting with a small but comfortable retail showroom north of McHenry. The family business grew rapidly, and forced Kenny to move to a location double in size.
After expanding three times, Kenny’s Floor Covering is now a 10,000 sq/ft beautiful showroom carrying the leading brand names in the flooring industry.
KFC earned it’s first McHenry County Best of the Fox award in 2002 - and has continued to receive this honor for the last 16 years.
Today, Kenny’s Floor Covering is still all about family. Kenny’s daughters, Sarah and Taylor, his sister Linda and brother Dan are all committed to contributing to the family business. From sales, to installations, Kenny and his family use their experience, customer service and professional installation to be their trademark of business.
