McHENRY COUNTY PROPERTY TAX WORK SHOP: Know Your Rights; Save Money!

With Special Guests District 3 - County Board Member Terri Greeno, McHenry County Clerk/Recorder Joe Tirio, Assessor Alex Benitez, and Treasurer Donna Kurtz will lead a panel discussion on the ABCs Of McHenry County Property Taxes.  The presentation will include:

• Understanding your tax bill
• Applying for exemptions such as Senior Freeze and Homestead
• How to appeal your assessment
• How your tax bill is built
• How voters change tax bills
• How to set up Fraud Alert to protect your property
• Hands-on demonstrations of Property Tax Tools you can use.

All participants will receive a reference guide to take notes and use at home.
