Career Planner Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to anticipate and plan staffing needs.
- Source candidates through cold calling, social media, referrals, career fairs, and networking.
- Create and maintain job postings and determine the best advertising methods.
- Pre-screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure job fit.
- Provide candidates with job details, including employment length, schedules, benefits, and expectations.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, colleges, and recruitment vendors.
- Handle administrative tasks such as file management, maintaining databases, and processing applications.
Career Planner Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1–2 years of related experience in recruiting or staffing.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Hands-on experience with interviewing, candidate assessments, and reference checks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills are a plus, but not required.
