Intermediate Obedience Group Dog Training Class

Description

This 8-week Intermediate Obedience Class is designed for dogs and owners who have completed beginners obedience course and are ready to take their training to the next level. In this class, we’ll build on all the core skills—sit, down, stay, recall, place, and heel—while increasing the distance, distractions, and duration of each behavior. You and your dog will practice maintaining focus and reliability in more challenging environments, preparing you both for success beyond the classroom. We’ll also continue refining your handling skills, improving timing and communication through marker words, release cues, and proofing exercises that strengthen your dog’s understanding and consistency. By the end of this course, your team will be more confident, connected, and ready to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test if desired.
