Family Health Partnership Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides quality health care to the uninsured men and women of McHenry County since 1996. We are located in Crystal Lake behind the Target and currently serve over 2000 patients annually. FHPC has 2 full time nurse practitioners on staff plus an additional 25 local physicians that volunteer every month to offer specialized care to our patients. We have a dispensary onsite to provide medications at appointments plus do our own labs to help eliminate repeat appointments and eliminate additional barriers that make getting healthier more difficult. Because of these coordinated efforts, our patients actually have better outcomes with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes than folks with private insurance! We don't rely on federal or state funding for our operational costs and instead function with the support of grants, foundations and the community response. The Care4 Breast Cancer 5K is our biggest fundraiser with all of the proceeds staying at the Clinic in our Breast Health Fund. All the funds raised are restricted for women's health- breast cancer screenings, breast health education, annual exams, mammograms, etc. We know that early diagnosis is critical to survival and without it, women are 2.6 times more likely to be diagnosed at a late stage of the disease. Together, we can make early detection available to all!
