Description
McHenry’s NEXT is gearing up for the holidays, and we’re giving back to our community! Join us as we support Toys for Tots and spread some holiday cheer. Whether you want to walk in the parade, donate a toy, or join us for a weekend of Chamber events, there are three ways to get involved!
1. Walk with Us in the Toys for Tots Parade!
Come be part of the fun as McHenry’s NEXT joins the Toys for Tots Parade! We’ll meet up beforehand to decorate our “float,” featuring two Jeeps and a scooter, before heading down the parade route and ending at Veterans Memorial Park.
McHenry’s NEXT will have candy to hand out, and participating businesses are welcome to bring their own branded merchandise to share with the crowd. Please bring a new toy donation with you to help support Toys for Tots!
2. Donate a Toy at One of Our Drop-Off Locations
Can’t make the parade? You can still help us make a difference! Drop off a toy at either of these locations:
- McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce 1307 N Green Street McHenry IL 60050
- Clarity Group Midwest 4302 W Crystal Lake Rd Ste C, McHenry, IL 60050
- JH Events & Flowers 7 Nippersink Blvd, Fox Lake, IL 60020
As a thank-you for your donation, you’ll receive a FREE McHenry’s NEXT koozie while supplies last.
3. Donate, Network & Join Us for Holiday Weekend Fun!
Want to make a difference while connecting with other local young professionals? Join us for the Chamber’s holiday events happening the weekend of the parade!
- Polar Express Pub Crawl: Buy a ticket and join the McHenrys Next group at this event for a fun night out, great connections, and networking.
- Cocoa Crawl: Bring the family, friends or your co-workers out to enjoy the holiday festivities while you sip hot cocoa and look at our living windows. There is no formal group gathering for this event.
Bring a toy to donate at either event, and you’ll receive a FREE McHenry’s NEXT koozie and be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card!

Help McHenry’s NEXT make a difference for local families while having fun, building connections, and giving back to our community. When shopping for Toys for Tots, please consider selecting toys for boys and girls ages 0–2 and 10+. These age groups can be more challenging to collect for, and your donations help ensure we have a great variety of gifts for children of all ages.
